Your private 4WD journey begins at Barceló Mussanah and heads toward Rustaq, a historic town surrounded by the Hajar Mountains. Explore the area around Rustaq Fort and learn about the town's history and its importance in the region. An optional visit to the natural hot springs may be included when conditions, access, and local circumstances permit.

From Rustaq, continue into the spectacular Wadi Bani Awf, following a scenic mountain route through rugged valleys, traditional settlements, and dramatic rock formations. Your guide will share local stories and explain how Omani communities have adapted to life in the mountains.

Along the mountain route, you may have the opportunity to enjoy an optional scenic stop near Snake Canyon. This stop is subject to road conditions, weather and safe access. If the canyon area cannot be safely accessed, the journey will continue with other scenic viewpoints and mountain landscapes along the route.

The journey continues toward Bilad Sayt, one of Oman's most picturesque traditional mountain villages. Surrounded by steep mountains, palm plantations, and terraced fields, Bilad Sayt offers a glimpse into traditional Omani mountain life away from the country's main tourist routes. Enjoy time to take photographs, appreciate the scenery, and learn about the village and its agricultural traditions.

Throughout the experience, your Licensed Omani Guide will provide local insight into Omani history, culture, traditions, and the landscapes you encounter. As this is a private experience, the pace can be adapted to the group, with opportunities to stop for photographs and enjoy the scenery along the way.

The itinerary focuses on Rustaq, Wadi Bani Awf, and Bilad Sayt, with opportunities to visit the natural hot springs and the entrance area of Snake Canyon, including swimming when conditions safely allow. Access and activities may vary depending on weather and conditions on the day.
