Oman's Daymaniyat Turtles + Village & Home Lunch Experience｜Oman

Your day begins in Muscat at the lovely Al Mouj Marina (not far from the airport), where you depart for the Daymaniyat Islands nature reserve to snorkel with sea turtles and fish, among the corals. Snacks and beverages are provided (along with with a private head on-board. From November through April you can also relax on the white sand beaches. From May through October you can still snorkel with the turtles, but we anchor in shallow waters and don't go on the islands to protect turtles during nesting season.

In the early afternoon we return you to Al Mouj Marina, and you'll drive (or taxi) just 20 minutes to our home in Qalhat, a secluded village at the foothills of the Al Hajar mountains. Give your taxi driver our GPS coordinates: 23.538141, 58.402706... it's that secluded!

Prepare to be wowed by this intimate and authentic setting. You'll begin with a lavish lunch at our house and dine atop the rooftop terrace, and enjoy a homemade Omani & Arabic dinner in a stunning setting of mountains and date palm groves. After your meal, explore this traditional Omani village with our guided tour, taking an easy walk through the scenic Wadi Boucher, and follow an historic Falaj irrigation system. You'll learn all about Omani heritage, village life, and ancient water systems. On your way back to the house you'll stop for tea and dessert under a traditional Arabic tent. Your sea and land experience will end around 6:00pm.
