Malta: Beginner Scuba Diving – Discover an Underwater Statue｜Malta

Take your first breath underwater in Malta, guided step by step by an
instructor who speaks your language. We run the activity in English,
Spanish and Italian.

1. Before You Arrive
After booking, we send you a link to register with SSI and complete your
free Try Scuba online theory at home, in your own language. It takes around
30 minutes, so you arrive already knowing what to expect and spend more of
the day in the water.

2. When You Arrive: Safety Briefing
Your instructor sits down with you and goes through everything before you
get anywhere near the water: how the equipment works, how to breathe, how
to equalise, the hand signals we use underwater and the safety rules we
follow. You ask as many questions as you need. Nobody gets in the water
until they feel ready.

3. Your First Dive, in Our Pool
You start in our own heated outdoor pool. No waves, no current, no depth,
and you can stand up whenever you want. Here you practise the skills from
the briefing with your instructor until they feel natural. This is where
the nerves disappear.

4. Your Second Dive, in the Sea
Once you are ready, you dive in the Mediterranean down to a maximum of
8 metres. We dive our house reef, where you swim over an underwater statue
resting on the seabed. On the rare rough day we move to another sheltered
site nearby, so your dive always goes ahead.

5. After Your Dive
We register your dive in your official SSI digital logbook at no extra cost.
If you decide to continue and book an Open Water Diver course with us this
season, you receive a returning guest discount.

activity, refunds cannot be provided. Please make sure you are medically fit
to dive before booking.
