Exploring the Treasures of Tigray: 4-Day Journey｜Ethiopia

Day 1: Axum to Gheralta
- Depart from Axum early in the morning.
- Drive to the Gheralta area, known for its rock-hewn churches.
- Visit one or two churches in the Gheralta cluster, such as Abuna Yemata Guh or Maryam Korkor.
- Overnight stay in a lodge or guesthouse in Gheralta.

Day 2: Gheralta to Hawzen
- Continue exploring the Gheralta churches, visiting additional sites like Daniel Korkor or Abreha we Atsbeha.
- Drive to Hawzen, a town near many of the Tigray churches.
- Visit more churches in the Hawzen area, such as Debre Tsion or Yohannes Maequddi.
- Overnight stay in a lodge or guesthouse in Hawzen.

Day 3: Hawzen to Axum
- Depart from Hawzen and start the journey back to Axum.
- En route, stop to visit any remaining churches of interest.
- Arrive back in Axum in the afternoon or evening.
- Explore any sites in Axum that you may have missed on the first day.
- Overnight stay in Axum.

Day 4: Departure
- Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to visit additional attractions in Axum, such as the Queen of Sheba's Palace or the Stelae Park.
- Transfer to the airport for your departure, or continue with your onward travel plans.
