The first section takes you through the famous Pacuare River Gorge, where you’ll navigate approximately 5 miles of continuous Class III–IV rapids. This stretch is known for its thrilling drops, fast currents, and technical sections, delivering an adrenaline-filled ride ideal for adventurous travelers. As you paddle through narrow canyon walls covered in dense vegetation, you’ll feel completely immersed in Costa Rica’s wild landscape.

After the high-energy gorge, the river opens into the scenic Pacuare Valley. Here, the pace becomes more relaxed, allowing you to enjoy another 5 miles of rafting while taking in the surrounding rainforest. This section is perfect for spotting wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, and colorful tropical birds, offering a unique balance between excitement and tranquility.

At the end of your adventure, you’ll have access to showers and changing facilities before enjoying a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch, the perfect way to recharge after an exhilarating day on the river.

Important: This experience is subject to weather and river conditions, always prioritizing passenger safety. If conditions on the Pacuare River are not suitable for a safe rafting experience, the activity may operate on the Reventazón River as an alternative. This decision will be communicated to guests before boarding the transportation, while maintaining a similar rafting experience and the same safety standards. If a guest declines to participate due to the change of river, they must inform us before boarding the transportation, and a full refund for the affected booking will be provided.
