From Kigali: 5-Day Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour｜Uganda

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi

Arrive at Kigali International Airport and meet your driver. Begin your journey to Uganda, crossing the Gatuna border. Enjoy views of Rwanda’s hills and countryside. After crossing into Uganda, stop at Lake Bunyonyi to relax and enjoy a boat tour. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Rushaga sector).

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

After an early breakfast, go gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Walk through the forest with guides to find a gorilla family. Once you find them, spend one hour observing them. After the trek, relax and then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 3: Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, head to the Ishasha Sector, Kasenyi Plain, known for tree-climbing lions, elephants, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and many birds. Stop at the Uganda Equator Line (Kasese) for photos. Return to your lodge for the night.

Day 4: Lake Mutanda and Twin Lakes

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Rwanda. On the way, stop at the beautiful Lake Mutanda, a peaceful lake with views of the Virunga volcanoes. Continue toward Rwanda, passing near Volcanoes National Park, with great mountain and landscape views. Visit the Twin Lakes (Burera and Ruhondo), one of the most scenic places in Rwanda. Enjoy a short community walk if time allows.

Day 5: Departure from Twin Lakes and Kigali City Tour

In the morning, embark on your journey from Twin Lakes through a hilly and panoramic-view region towards Kigali. Upon arrival, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, then proceed to Nyamirambo and local markets (Kimironko), and enjoy city views.
