Sandwich Harbour Full-Day 4x4 Adventure｜Namibia

This full day adventure starts off at the Walvis Bay lagoon witnessing thousands of Greater and Lesser Flamingos and other bird life such as Great White Pelicans, Caspian and Damara terns, as well as the Chestnut-banded Plover.

Afterwards you will have a scenic drive through the Walvis Bay wetlands and salt works and stop for that quick selfie at the beautiful pink salt lakes.

We then continue towards the Pelican Point peninsula, home to 55,000 Cape Fur Seals. Not only will you witness the incredible sight of the Seals going about their daily business, but on the way to Pelican Point you will witness some other splendors like an old shipwreck, the lighthouse and many more.
Possible sightings at Pelican Point are the black-backed jackal, dolphins and brown hyena.
We then head south on a 4x4 scenic drive all along the beautiful Atlantic coastline towards Sandwich Harbour located in the Namib Naukluft Park. This is where the Namib Desert and Atlantic Ocean come together.

sand dunes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Stop at an amazing viewpoint and enjoy a light lunch, sparkling wine and refreshments overlooking the oldest desert in the world and desert landscapes.

On our way back to Walvis Bay you should keep an eye out for more bird life and possible desert animal encounters such as oryx, springbok, black-backed jackal, ostrich and brown hyena.
