Your journey begins with a transfer from Zanzibar or mainland Tanzania to Mafia Island. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and taken to your accommodation where you can relax and prepare for your ocean adventure.
On the main activity day, early in the morning you will head out by boat into the clear waters of Mafia Island Marine Park in search of whale sharks. With the help of experienced local guides, you will have the chance to swim and snorkel alongside these gentle giants in their natural environment. This is a rare and unforgettable experience as whale sharks are completely harmless and peaceful.
After the whale shark experience, return to the island for lunch and relaxation. You can spend the rest of the day enjoying the beach, swimming in the ocean, or exploring the peaceful island atmosphere.
On day two, enjoy a relaxed morning at the beach or optional activities such as snorkeling in coral reefs or visiting local fishing villages before your transfer back.
