Luang Prabang: Authentic Remote Village Day Trip｜Laos

Our perfect day trip begins at 8:30 am with pickup from your accommodation in Luang Prabang. Travel by tuk-tuk with your local guide to the ferry crossing, where you’ll cross the majestic Mekong River en route to Chom Phet District.

From here, the journey continues into the mountains to discover some of the most beautiful and remote villages in Luang Prabang, home to the country’s largest ethnic minority groups. After a scenic drive, you’ll arrive at a rarely visited village where daily life remains deeply rooted in nature and tradition.

Enjoy a guided walk through the village, including a meaningful visit to the local school. You are welcome to bring or donate simple supplies such as books, pens, or pencils to support the children, who have very limited resources (items can be purchased at local markets before departure).

Lunch: Enjoy a traditional local meal prepared in a village setting, offering an authentic taste of rural Lao cuisine.
