The drive takes you along palm-fringed coastal roads, and soon you arrive at the pier. A short ferry ride carries you across shimmering turquoise waters to Wuzhizhou Island – a tropical sanctuary of powder-white sand and a “glass sea” so clear you can watch colourful fish dart below the surface.
