This tour takes you up Hua Shan, one of China's Five Great Sacred Mountains, with a flexible route that lets you choose your own adventure. Modern twist: on your way down, your guide orders a classic Xi’an street food feast by phone. By the time you reach your hotel, liangpi noodles, roujiamo sandwich, and iced Bingfeng soda are waiting at the front desk. No limping to a restaurant. No cold dinner.
Hua Shan is not a postcard — it's a knife blade of solid granite, known as the "Most Precipitous Mountain Under Heaven." You'll take the North Peak loop: cable car up to North Peak (Yuntai Feng), hike across Canglong Ling (Dark Dragon Ridge) — a razor-thin path with cliffs on both sides — then pass East Peak, the famous Plank Walk in the Sky (optional), and South Peak .
Food delivery surprise: Most tours leave you exhausted to find dinner. Not this one. On the way back, your guide orders ahead. When you arrive, a Xi'an street food feast is waiting.
The Five Peaks – Quick Tour
North Peak (1,614m) – Gateway with great views. Recommended starting point.
West Peak (2,086m) – "The Lotus Flower." Best sunset spot.
South Peak (2,154.9m) – Highest. Home to the Plank Walk in the Sky (harness provided).
East Peak (2,096m) – Best sunrise. Overnighters wake at 4 AM to watch it.
Middle Peak (2,042m) – Quiet side detour.
Main photo spots: Canglong Ridge, South Heavenly Gate, Chess Pavilion.
Cable Cars & Route Options
North Cable Car – 8 min ride from North Visitor Center. Cheaper and faster.
West Cable Car – 20 min ride from West Visitor Center. Higher, longer, spectacular views.
Recommended route: North up & North down
Most affordable and flexible. Go as far as you want (Middle, East, South, West) and turn back anytime. No pressure to finish everything.
Other routes:
West up & down – Easier, short walks to West, South, East peaks. Most expensive.
West up & North down – Requires full loop (West → South → East → Middle → North). 5–7 hours, good fitness needed.
Our advice for most guests: Take North up & North down. Save money, avoid risk, still see the iconic views. If you feel strong, push farther. No pressure.
Two ways to explore Huashan:
Option A – Transport + Guide + Food Delivery
Includes hotel pickup/drop-off, English-speaking guide, and dinner (liangpi + roujiamo + Bingfeng soda). Best if you already have tickets or want a different cable car route (e.g., West up & down).
Option B – All-Inclusive (Recommended)
Includes everything in Option A, plus entrance ticket + shuttle bus + North Peak round-trip cable car (North up & down). Stress-free, budget-friendly, and you can turn back anytime.
For 90% of travelers → Option B. Classic North up & down route. Best value, most flexibility, no ticket booth headaches.
