Xi'an: Chinese Calligraphy, Tea & Personalized Art Workshop｜China

Create Your Personal Chinese Artwork

Step into the world of Chinese calligraphy and experience one of China’s most cherished traditional arts in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

With guidance from a local calligraphy expert, you’ll learn how Chinese characters evolved, discover the cultural meaning behind calligraphy, and practice basic brush techniques yourself.

You’ll then create your own piece of Chinese art. Choose a favorite Chinese word, phrase, or sentence, and bring it to life on a hand-painted fan or traditional scroll. Your finished artwork will be a personal keepsake of your time in Xi’an — something meaningful that you can take home with you.

Along the way, slow down with a cup of local Chinese tea and enjoy a peaceful moment away from the busy streets of the city.

No previous calligraphy experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
