Upon arrival at Shanghai Pudong or Hongqiao Airport or Wusongkou Cruise Terminal, your professional guide will warmly greet you with a personalized name sign. Enjoy a comfortable private transfer to the city center, where you can discuss your interests with your guide and customize the itinerary according to your layover time.
This is a fully flexible private tour. The attractions listed below are sample suggestions only and are not guaranteed core stops. The final itinerary may be adjusted according to your arrival time, attraction opening hours, traffic conditions, and personal preferences.
Start your tour at Lujiazui Financial District, where you can admire Shanghai’s iconic modern skyline, including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center. Learn about the rapid development of Pudong and Shanghai’s role as one of China’s leading financial centers.
Next, explore the historic Yuyuan Old Town area. Depending on your available time, interests, and attraction opening hours, you may visit Yuyuan Garden, City God Temple, or stroll through Yuyuan Bazaar, known for its traditional Ming- and Qing-style architecture, local snacks, souvenir shops, and restaurants.
Please note that Yuyuan Garden is an optional stop and is not a guaranteed core part of this flexible layover tour. It is visited only when the garden is open and when your layover schedule allows. Yuyuan Garden is normally closed on Mondays. If it is unavailable, your guide can recommend alternative nearby attractions such as City God Temple and Yuyuan Bazaar.
Continue to the historic Former French Concession, where you can stroll along tree-lined streets and admire European-style villas and historic buildings while learning about Shanghai’s international history.
Then visit the famous Bund, one of Shanghai’s most iconic waterfront areas. Enjoy panoramic views of the Huangpu River, historic buildings on the Bund, and the modern Pudong skyline across the river.
If time permits, you may also visit the Jade Buddha Temple to learn about Chinese Buddhist traditions and see its beautiful temple halls and Buddha statues. Please note that the Jade Buddha Temple normally closes at around 4:30 PM, so this stop depends on your arrival time and the temple’s opening hours.
Depending on your interests and available time, other optional attractions may include Tianzifang, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Tower, local food tasting, or a ride on the Shanghai Maglev Train.
At the end of the tour, your private driver and guide will transfer you comfortably back to Shanghai Pudong or Hongqiao Airport, Wusongkou Cruise Terminal, or your Shanghai city hotel.
If any significant itinerary change is required and you do not wish to accept the proposed alternative, you may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund in accordance with the cancellation policy.
