This full-day private tour takes you to the lesser-known, culturally rich, and naturally stunning areas east of Taipei. After a convenient pickup from your hotel or designated meeting point, your driver-guide will take you toward the northeast coast.

Your first stop is Makang Fishing Village, a serene coastal settlement where you can see traditional fishing life, explore seaside viewpoints, and enjoy the slow-paced atmosphere. You’ll spend ample time wandering the harbor, taking photos, and immersing yourself in local culture.

Continue to Mutan Old Street, a quaint historical area known for its small shops, friendly locals, and nostalgic vibes. Sample local treats and learn about the area’s past.

Next, head to Sandiaoling, a nature-rich destination famous for its hiking trails, railroad scenery, and waterfalls. Enjoy an easy scenic walk through lush landscapes, a perfect break from the city’s bustle.

Your final stop is Houtong Cat Village, one of Taiwan’s most unique attractions. Originally a mining town, it is now known for its friendly resident cats and charming hillside village atmosphere.

After a full day of exploration, your driver will take you comfortably back to Taipei.
