What is inside the Monkey Forest? 

• Visitors can see various kinds of trees, temples, and monkeys. There are three temples within the premises: Pura Dalem, Holy Water Temple, and Cremation Temple.

How many monkeys are there at the Monkey Forest?

• There are more than 600 monkeys split into six groups: at the Cremation Temple, Central Point, the East part of the main temple, the northeast area, the main temple area, and the new forest area.

Can visitors feed the monkeys peanuts?

• It is forbidden to feed monkeys peanuts because of health reasons. Staff also feed the monkeys three times per day. Please do not give any extra food
  

Is it safe for the visitors to interact with the monkeys? 

• Yes, as long as the visitors don’t touch and play with the monkey. Follow our Guidelines, and please ask for assistance from the staff if needed.

What should visitors do if the monkey jumps on them?

• Do not panic. Stand up and slowly walk away. Please also ask for help from the staff
  

Do the monkeys bite people?

• Sometimes, they might bite if visitors touch and play with the monkey
  

Can visitors take pictures with the monkeys? 

• Yes. When taking a picture with the monkeys, please maintain a safe distance. In case you need any assistance, please ask the staff.
