You will be guided to uncover one of Rome's hidden gems, where you'll savour three local wines, each perfectly paired with delectable dishes for an unparalleled aperitif experience. The wine tasting takes place in a Roman quarry (1st century BC) that has served as an 18th-century cellar and an anti-aircraft shelter, located in the heart of the Pigneto district.

Known for its lively nightlife and as the backdrop for some of Pier Paolo Pasolini's films, Pigneto exudes a rural charm with houses that seem to hark back to another era. This is a place steeped in history, from its creation by ancient Romans to its role during the dramatic days of the Second World War. Yet, its underground cave remains largely undiscovered today.

Here lies your opportunity to sample three types of wine: a sparkling variety, a white, and a red, all accompanied by generous food tastings. This mysterious place offers you a glimpse into four distinct historical periods in Rome's life, all while indulging in the rich traditions and history of Italian wine guided by expert local foodies and sommeliers.
