Take a deep breath and fill your lungs with fresh mountain air and the smell of freshly mown grass. Close your eyes and listen to the deep sounds of nature surrounding Voinescu House. You can hear birds singing, cows mooing, the wind blowing softly in the nearby forest, and the river close to the guesthouse flowing, cold and clear. You are not very far from the centre of the city, just 7 km away from the popular Bran Castle, yet in a green oasis of peace and quietness, so close to the wilderness of nature.
Voinescu House resembles a farm stay in Șimon village in Bran, being equipped with all the modern fittings and providing cosy rooms furnished with natural materials and unique elements. It has its animal farm, orchard, and local natural products, such as a variety of homemade cheese. It works as a Local Gastronomic Point and it is administrated by a young family.
On the first day, you reach Voinescu House, at the foothills of the Bucegi Mountains, and you are welcomed with a natural local brandy made from apples grown in the garden, called „țuică”, and with „slănină”, which is very traditional to this part of the country.
You socialize with the hosts and with the other guests and you have a very tasty traditional Romanian dinner, cooked by the hosts themselves with ecologic ingredients.
On the second day, you serve breakfast consisting of local cheese and meat varieties and you have a nice rural tour with the hosts. After that, you have a local delicious dish called „bulz” and discover why it is so popular, so specific to the tradition of Bran region, and how it is made.
On the leaving day, you have breakfast and already a bunch of warm memories of an authentic Romanian rural experience.
