You will be picked up from your hotel/accommodation in Lisbon. We will head towards our first destination which is The Monastery of Jerome. The Jerónimos Monastery is one of the most prominent examples of the late Portuguese Gothic Manueline style of architecture in Lisbon. (The visit is only the Church, Also keep in mind that these are closed on Mondays). Classified as a National Monument in 1907 and inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage List in 1983. Then we will head towards our second destination which is the Pasteis de Belem. These are some of the most popular Portuguese sweets specialties with Conventual inspiration. The original recipe is produced by the Fábrica dos Pastéis de Belém, in Lisbon. You will be able to enjoy these famous specialties and they have much more to offer. At the mouth of the Tagus River, you will see the Tower of Belem. The monument is an icon of the architecture of the reign of King Manuel I, it was classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1983 and elected as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal in 2007. Then we will move to our next destination which is the Monument of Discoveries. This stunning monument was designed to commemorate the Age of Discoveries in Portugal. Located along the river where ships departed to explore and trade with India and the Orient. Our next destination will be Cristo Rei, across the Tagus River, We will cross the River from 25 De Abril Bridge. The National Sanctuary of Christ the King is located at an altitude of 133 meters above the level of the Tagus, consisting of a portico designed by the architect António Lino, 75 meters high, topped by the statue of the Holy Redeemer with open arms facing the city of Lisbon, 28 meters high. This monument is the best viewpoint overlooking the city of Lisbon, offering a wide view of the capital and the 25 de Abril Bridge. It will take around 30 minutes to go across the river and 30 minutes to come back to Lisbon. Then we will head back towards Lisbon getting back to your hotel. Finishing the Tour happily.
