You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Kalabaka or Kastraki in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus in a small group. Avoid the traffic and parking problems.

With a knowledgeable and friendly , English speaking , local guide, you'll learn about the fascinating history, myths, and traditions of Meteora , the Holy Monasteries and the Hermit Caves.

During the tour, you’ll see all 6 of Meteora’s famous monasteries, with the chance to go inside 1 or 2 (it depends on the year's period of the tour). You’ll also discover hidden spots like the ancient Bandovas hermitages, set in caves high up on the cliffs, and visit the Byzantine Church of the Virgin Mary in the old city of Kalambaka, which used to be an ancient temple for the Greek god Apollo.
