Please arrive at the designated location 10 minute(s) before the scheduled departure time, as the tour will depart on time
The bus will depart on time, so please be sure to arrive on time. We are not responsible for passengers arriving after the bus has departed; please take note.
Please try to avoid making reservations for dinner or other activities in advance, especially if you have a flight on the same day. We will not be liable for any compensation if you are unable to attend a reserved dinner or other activity on time due to traffic congestion, or if you miss your flight as a result. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
When large taxis or minibuses are operating, the tour driver will provide introductions, not act as a guide. The languages available are Chinese and Japanese.
Due to road conditions, the itinerary may be adjusted, and the sightseeing time may be shortened or extended.
The opening hours of each attraction may vary due to Japanese national holidays or other time restrictions, and the overall itinerary may end earlier as a result.
Jozankei Onsen offers free outdoor foot baths for guests to use. It is recommended to bring your own towel for convenience.
During peak nighttime hours, special cable car services will be prioritized based on the number of passengers to reduce waiting time and allow you to enjoy the night view of Mount Moiwa more easily.
The Mt. Moiwa Ropeway may be temporarily suspended due to inclement weather, equipment maintenance, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the ropeway is closed on a given day, to ensure a smooth trip, the itinerary will be changed to a visit to Asahiyama Memorial Park and the 38th-floor observation deck of Sapporo Station to enjoy the Sapporo cityscape at night. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
The package including cable car tickets: The Mt. Moiwa Night View Experience includes two cable car tickets (Mt. Moiwa Aerial Ropeway & Mini Mountain Ropeway), allowing you to easily reach the summit observation deck to enjoy the Sapporo night view.
Shiroi Koibito Park will be closed for maintenance on June 4, 2026. Visiting the park on that day will be cancelled. Instead, a 25-minute visit to Asahiyama Memorial Park will be arranged, subject to the tour guide's arrangements. Please refer to the official website for the latest announcements regarding the park closure.
From central Sapporo, you can take the Sapporo Streetcar (tram) from Susukino or Odori to the 'Ropeway Iriguchi' station. From there, it's a short walk to the Moiwayama Ropeway station. Alternatively, a free shuttle bus operates from the base of Mt. Moiwa to the ropeway station. The ropeway and a connecting mini-cable car will then transport you to the observation deck for the stunning night views.
While private cars can reach the base of Mt. Moiwa, direct vehicle access to the summit for the observation deck is restricted. Visitors typically use the Moiwayama Ropeway and the subsequent mini-cable car (Morris Car) from the mid-station to reach the summit. There are parking facilities available at the base ropeway station for private vehicles. Public transportation options via the Sapporo Streetcar are also convenient.
The Moiwayama Ropeway ride from the base station to the mid-station takes approximately 5 minutes. From the mid-station, you transfer to the mini-cable car, known as the Morris Car, which takes another 2 minutes to reach the summit observation deck. The total travel time on both the ropeway and mini-cable car is roughly 7 minutes, offering scenic views along the way.
There are several hiking trails leading to the summit of Mt. Moiwa, varying in difficulty and length. Typically, a hike to the observation deck can take approximately 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your chosen route and fitness level. It is recommended to wear appropriate footwear and check trail conditions, especially outside of the warmer months, as some trails may be closed seasonally.
To thoroughly experience Shiroi Koibito Park, including exploring the confectionery factory production line, enjoying the seasonal rose garden, visiting the toy collection, and perhaps participating in a cookie-making workshop, it is recommended to allocate approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This allows ample time to appreciate the various themed areas and activities at a comfortable pace.
Shiroi Koibito Park offers a unique and delightful experience by blending confectionery history with charming European-style architecture. Visitors can observe the famous Shiroi Koibito cookies being made, create their own original cookies, and explore whimsical themed areas, including a beautiful rose garden and an antique toy museum. It's a charming destination that appeals to all ages.
Shiroi Koibito Park generally operates daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with last admission around 4:00 PM. Operating hours can vary during peak seasons or for special events. While it is typically open on most public holidays, it is always advisable to check the official website for the most current information regarding specific holiday schedules or any temporary closures before planning your visit.
Shiroi Koibito Park is situated in the western part of Sapporo. While it is a significant attraction in itself, the surrounding area is primarily residential. For those interested in sports history, the Sapporo Teine Olympic Museum is a short distance away. The park is well-connected to central Sapporo via subway, making it easy to combine a visit with other city attractions.
