[Frequently Asked Questions]
Do you have Afternoon or Evening bike tour?
- With Singapore's tropical climate, there is a higher chance of rain in the afternoon and evening. In the evening, the ethnic quarters are very busy and dangerous to ride thru. Hence, it is more ideal to conduct our bike tours in the morning. As we aim to give you the best experience during your visit to Singapore.
What is the minimum age to join the bike tour?
- You should be 10 years and above to join our bike tours.
Do you Provide / Rent Cycling Helmet?
- We do provide helmet only upon request before the tour. For your personal comfort and hygiene, we suggest you to bring your personal helmet. Wearing of helmets is not mandatory while riding on pavements/sidewalks in Singapore. And most of our bike route will be on pavements/sidewalks. Nevertheless, we have encountered some inexperienced cyclists who have fallen and hurt themselves, so please ensure you're a confident cyclist before taking up our bike tours.
What is the Bike Tour Difficulty?
- Our bike tours range from 13-18km in distance and they are considered Easy to Intermediate level. Our tours are specially curated based on the theme, with multiple short stops (2-5min at each stop) along the way to give commentaries as well as to let you drink up. Singapore's terrain is generally flat and there are very few uphill sections along the bike route, so it should be pretty manageable for most people.
What are the type of terrain and traffic like?
- Most of our routes use paved roads and bike lanes. We try to stay abreast of road conditions and when we are aware of roads that have deteriorated or are undergoing construction, we try to adapt the route as necessary. On some itineraries, we may use bike paths or backroads that include stretches of hard-packed dirt or gravel (non technical). We design routes that are not only scenic or that take you to the not to be missed spots. We also pay attention to safety and look for the best cycling options, avoiding roads with any type of significant vehicle traffic, opting instead for quiet backroads. On some itineraries, there may be sections of the route where you will have to cross a busy intersection or maybe share the road with traffic for a short stretch – when that is the case, we always look for bike lanes or the safest passage across.
Do you have E-Bike for your bike tour?
- No, E-Bike was BANNED from Singapore footpaths since 2019. As most of our bike tour routes are on footpaths, we are allowed to ride on footpaths using normal bicycle.
What happen if I injure myself during the bike tour?
- Our Bike Tour Guides are all First-Aid trained . And we do have First-Aid Kit in our tour guide bag.
Where is your Bike Shop?
- We do not have a bike shop as we run the business online and on mobile. We will send our bicycles to the designated meeting point before every tour. This allows us to run different curated bike tours in different areas of Singapore. And without shop rental expenses, we can pay our specially-trained bike tour guides high remunerations in order to uphold our high standards and deliver the best quality tours.
Where can I leave my Luggage?
- As we do not have a static bike shop, you may consider storing it in our vehicle during the bike tour. Please inform us in advance of the request. Or you may store your luggage at our Luggage storage partner: https://usebounce.com/city/singapore
What Happens If It Rain?
- Please refer to our Wet Weather Policy for more detailed information.
How many people are on your bike tours?
- Since we want to make sure every biker on our tours has the best Singapore experience, we'll try not to have more than 12 people per guide. And our bike tour guide will be using portable speaker to ensure you can hear his commentaries.
Please arrive at the designated location 15 minute(s) before the scheduled departure time, as the tour will depart on time
