— What You Can Expect —

Since 1987, Tangalooma Island Resort has offered Brisbane's closest Whale Watching day cruise, plus the opportunity to enjoy 'island life' for the day, and night if you stay longer. Our vessel is a smooth sailing, comfortable catamaran, and our island is alive with fun things to do, from land and water sports to just lazing around on the beach.


— Upgraded with Wild Dolphin Feeding Package — 

Tangalooma is one of the few destinations in the world where visitors can interact with native wildlife in their natural environment. Only guests who have booked official day trips will be able to participate in the nightly dolphin feeding program.

  • Activity time: approximately 6:00 pm-7:15 pm
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Activity and return time may vary depending on season due to dolphin feeding at sunset

— Cruise Itinerary —

  • Holt Street Wharf to/from Tangalooma Island Resort
  • Departure 10:00 am
  • Basic Day Cruise Return: 4:00 pm
  • Upgraded Package Return: 7:00 pm–8:00 pm
  • Duration: 75 minutes each way


— Bus Transfers —

  • Transfer from selected Brisbane hotels to Holt Street for the connecting ferry at 10:00 am
  • Return bus transfers are available for guests on the same day, returning to the same above pick-up points
  • Please wait at the designated pick-up point at least 5 minutes prior to pick-up time. Traffic congestion may delay buses by up to 10-20mins.
  • Please select your Pick-up/Drop-off Hotel when making your reservation. If your hotel is not on the list, please choose another nearby location
  • Please note that the return boat time for the Sunset Cocktail Package, Sea to Sky Package and Wild Dolphin Feeding Package is approximately 7pm in Winter but can be as late as 8:15pm in Summer months. The boat departs after the completion of dolphin feeding. Due to nature of boating conditions, all times should only be taken as estimates. Please allow for sufficient time for delays, airport transfers, etc. All times are local Brisbane time

  • All tours, cruises, and activities are weather dependent and subject to availability
  • Eco Ranger experiences may not be available every day, which are subject to change, availability and animal attendance
  • The whale watch sighting guarantee offers a refund if the cruise is canceled by Tangalooma due to bad weather conditions, or if no whales are seen on the Whale Watching Day Cruise
  • Wild dolphin watching and feeding activities are affected by weather, tides, and weather conditions. Wild dolphins are not guaranteed to show up, but according to the experiences, there is a 98% chance to witness

Reminders

  • Please arrive at the designated location 5 minute(s) before the scheduled departure time, as the tour will depart on time

  • Check-in at Holt Street Wharf is at least 1 hour prior to departure time

  • Please note Flash photography while dolphin feeding is not permitted. Please do not wear insect repellents, perfumes, deodorants or sunscreens into the water. Travelers with a cold, flu or respiratory illness are not permitted to join. Wear something you do not mind getting wet and remove any sharp or large hand jewelry. Waterproof waders can be hired from The Eco Centre. Disinfect your hands in the bucket provided before handling the fish. Violators will be asked to leave the water immediately

  • Travellers are permitted one (1) carry on bag not exceeding the following dimensions: 56cm (height) x 36cm (width) x 23cm (depth)

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 4 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–3 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once the cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 14 working days.
