Meet the rest of the group at 4:30 p.m. at the Olive Pink Botanic Garden to talk about the next few days with your guide. Return to your Alice Springs lodging and retire early for the night in preparation for the long ride ahead.   • Day 1 – Section 1: Alice Springs to Wallaby Gap
    - Visit the spectacular and calm West MacDonnell Ranges, recognized for their rich natural beauties and traditional culture, and regarded as the best in Australia. Walk a 14km ‘leg stretch’ commencing from the outskirts of Alice Springs and see the beautiful Euro Ridge. Relax and immerse yourself in the wonders of the region as you contemplate the next 4 days.
    Meet the Ground Support Vehicle at the scenic Wallaby Gap and transfer to the remote camping spot within the MacDonnell Ranges National Park. A location inspirational to Albert Namatjira, sensational viewings of the Chewing’s Range and Mount Giles – the entry into the Gorge will leave you dumbfounded. After a last picnic lunch at Ormiston gorge, we will pack and break camp for regrettably the last time and begin our journey back to normality (hot showers and life as you know it awaits). Tonight, after a well-deserved shower, make your own way to one of Alice’s Outback Restaurants (your guide will confirm the time and location), where you can reminisce about the last 5 days and share some banter over a refreshing ale or cool drink.

It is not unheard of for temperatures to reach over 50+ degrees Celsius in the dry season and in the evening the temperature drops dramatically.
