## Discover the Ocean Through a Marine Biologist's Eyes

More than just a dolphin tour, this is a marine wildlife expedition led by marine biologists and naturalists. Every day on the water is different. Some days you'll be surrounded by dolphins. Other days the highlight may be a whale in the distance, flying fish skimming across the surface, or a sea turtle cruising below the boat. The experience is about exploring a wild ocean and discovering what it has to offer that day.

For more than 25 years, Wild Side has been sharing Oʻahu's west coast through respectful wildlife encounters, scientific interpretation, and a commitment to conservation.

Hawaiʻi is one of the few places in the world where whales can be found year-round. During winter, humpback whales migrate here to breed and calve. Throughout the year, the deeper offshore waters are also home to resident toothed whales, including pilot whales, false killer whales, melon-headed whales, pygmy killer whales, beaked whales, and, on rare occasions, sperm whales. While these offshore species aren't seen on every trip, they are part of what makes exploring these waters so exciting. Dolphins, Hawaiian green sea turtles, flying fish, pelagic seabirds, manta and spotted eagle rays, and the occasional whale shark all contribute to the incredible diversity of this ecosystem.

Every expedition is shaped by the wildlife, weather, and ocean conditions. Rather than following a fixed itinerary, your captain and crew adapt the day's route to maximize opportunities while always placing the well-being of the animals first. When conditions allow, you'll have the opportunity to enter the water for a respectful dolphin encounter and enjoy a guided snorkel. Whether you're exploring coral, lava rock, or sandy seafloor, each habitat offers something new—from reef fish and octopus to turtles, eels, and the mesmerizing light that can reach more than 80 feet into Hawaiʻi's famously clear water.

Travel aboard our **fast, stable power catamaran**, designed for comfort with shaded seating, a **private restroom**, and a **warm freshwater shower** to rinse off after snorkeling. Enjoy complimentary locally made pastries, fresh fruit, snacks, desserts, and cold drinks while your guides answer questions and share what they're seeing throughout the day.

Our goal isn't simply to help you find wildlife—it's to help you understand it. We hope you'll leave with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for Hawaiʻi's ocean and the remarkable diversity of life it supports.
