Product Info

Experience the fascinating history of Berlin up close on this private walking tour. Find out about the construction and fall of the Berlin Wall, see its remains, and discover places where escape attempts were made with your local guide.
Begin the tour on Bernauer Strasse, a street that is now home to an open-air documentation museum, and follow the former borderline through the center of Berlin. As you go, listen to real-life stories about the experiences of Berlin's citizens during the Cold War.
Check out an original border crossing station at the Palace of Tears. If it's open, head up to a viewing platform to see the "death strip" that aimed to prevent escape attempts. The tour concludes at another border crossing station, Checkpoint Charlie.
