As the day winds down and the crowds begin to thin, experience a different side of Banff National Park on our 3-hour Wildlife & Scenic Sightseeing Tour.
This experience combines the search for Banff’s incredible wildlife with stops at some of the most beautiful viewpoints, lakes and landmarks around the park. Your knowledgeable local guide will take you through areas where wildlife are frequently spotted, adjusting the route based on recent sightings, seasonal patterns and wildlife activity.
We regularly explore wildlife corridors and areas known for sightings of elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, mule deer, white-tailed deer, coyotes, black bears, grizzly bears and a variety of birdlife. Wildlife is wild, of course, so sightings can never be guaranteed, but we’ll do our best to put you in the right places at the right times.
And there’s plenty to see along the way.
Throughout the tour, we’ll make scenic stops around Banff National Park, which may include Surprise Corner and its incredible view of the Fairmont Banff Springs, Lake Minnewanka, Two Jack Lake, mountain viewpoints, the town of Banff and other beautiful locations throughout the Bow Valley. Stops and routes may change depending on conditions, wildlife activity and the time of year.
Along the way, your guide will share stories and information about Banff National Park, the animals that call it home, the surrounding mountains, local ecosystems and conservation efforts in the Canadian Rockies.
Whether we find a herd of elk, spot a bear in the distance, watch bighorn sheep wander through the valley, or simply spend the evening surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery, there is always something worth seeing.
This 3-hour small-group experience is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, families and anyone wanting to combine Banff's wildlife with some of the park's must-see scenery.
