Bergen: Viking Village & UNESCO Fjord Cruise from Flåm｜Norway

Begin your day with a scenic bus journey from Bergen through the beautiful landscapes of Western Norway, passing mountains, valleys, fjords, and charming villages. Along the way, your knowledgeable guide shares stories about the region, its history, and everyday life in Norway. After approximately one hour, we make a short comfort stop in Dale before continuing to the impressive Tvindefossen waterfall, famous for its wide cascade and picturesque surroundings.

Our next stop is the Viking Village in Gudvangen, where you step back into the Viking Age and meet modern-day Vikings. Explore traditional buildings, discover authentic crafts and weapons, and learn about Norway's rich Viking heritage in a stunning fjord setting.

After discovering Viking history, you board a scenic fjord cruise through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest and most spectacular fjords in the world. Sail past towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and tiny farms clinging to the mountainsides as you experience one of Norway's most iconic landscapes.

Depending on the season, the afternoon includes one final scenic stop before returning to Bergen. From 1 May to 16 October, we visit the historic Stalheim Hotel, spectacularly perched above the dramatic Nærøydalen Valley. Here, you can enjoy a relaxing coffee break while taking in breathtaking panoramic views. During spring and autumn, we instead stop in Gudvangen, where you have time to relax at a café by the fjord before the journey back to Bergen.

Return to Bergen in the evening after a memorable day filled with spectacular scenery, Viking history, impressive waterfalls, a UNESCO World Heritage fjord cruise, and some of the most breathtaking landscapes in Western Norway.
