Lofoten: Small-Group Arctic Fishing Experience｜Norway

Experience fishing in the Arctic waters of Lofoten on a small-group boat trip designed for those who want a more personal and authentic experience at sea.

For centuries, fishing has shaped life, culture and communities across Lofoten. Today, these waters remain some of Northern Norway’s most important fishing grounds, fed by cold, nutrient-rich Arctic currents that support an abundance of marine life.

During this 4-hour fishing trip, you'll head out from Kabelvåg and explore carefully selected fishing grounds chosen according to the weather, season and conditions of the day. Depending on the season, you may catch cod, coalfish, haddock and other local species.

Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced angler, your guide will provide assistance throughout the trip. No previous fishing experience is required, and all necessary equipment is included.

With a maximum of just 5 guests on board, there's plenty of space to fish, learn and enjoy the surroundings without the crowds often found on larger tours. The small group size allows for a more relaxed atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and receive individual guidance.

Beyond the fishing itself, the journey offers a unique perspective on Lofoten. From the water, you'll enjoy views of dramatic mountains, small islands, traditional fishing villages and the rugged coastline that has attracted fishermen for generations.

Keep an eye on the sky as well. White-tailed sea eagles are frequently spotted along the coast and are often seen soaring above the mountains and fjords.
