Meet your local Sámi guide in Hammerfest and travel in a heated 8-seat vehicle. With a maximum group size of 7 guests, enjoy a personal and flexible experience rather than a large bus tour.

Search for the Northern Lights away from the lights of Hammerfest. Your guide chooses the route based on weather, cloud cover, visibility, road conditions, wind, and local knowledge. Some evenings, you may only need to drive a short distance from town, while on other evenings, the guide may continue farther into darker and more open areas around Hammerfest to find better viewing conditions.

During the drive, hear stories about Sámi culture, reindeer herding, seasonal life, local landscapes, and how people have used the Arctic nature around Hammerfest through generations. The experience combines nature, culture, storytelling, and the quiet atmosphere of the Arctic winter night.

When conditions allow, stop at suitable viewing places where you can step outside, watch the sky, take photos, and experience the darkness and silence of the Arctic landscape. The length and number of stops depend on weather, temperature, wind, safety, and visibility.
