Beginning at the iconic Powder Tower, this Monday edition follows the dramatic story of Czechoslovakia’s occupation in 1939 and the rise of the resistance movement that led to Operation Anthropoid — the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich.
Walk through the historic center as your expert guide explains how repression, fear, and underground networks shaped daily life in Prague during World War II. Enter the underground spaces at U Kunštátu, where the planning of Operation Anthropoid and the courage of the Czechoslovak paratroopers are brought to life.
During the tour, selected original artefacts from our private WWII collection are presented to provide deeper historical context.
The tour concludes in front of the Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius, site of the final stand of the paratroopers in June 1942.
Please note: The cathedral crypt interior is closed on Mondays. This tour concludes outside the cathedral.
