Spend a full day discovering the Mâconnais region with a local Insider. Travel off the beaten path, meeting locals and uncovering hidden gems not found in guidebooks.

You'll make at least 4 stops focused on wine, such as visiting a winemaker or a cooperative, or even stopping in the middle of the vineyards to open a bottle or a few bottles and enjoy local snacks. At each stop, you'll taste at least 4 wines, each with its own story.

A highlight of the day is a visit to Philippe, a former winemaker turned druid, and guardian of an incredible private cellar.

Along the way, visit other favorite spots: an isolated chapel or a goat cheese farm in a former Cluniac priory, once a sacred Celtic pagan site. The cheese is only sold on-site to those who take the time to visit.

For lunch, enjoy a meal at a local restaurant serving seasonal products.

Depending on option chosen, transfer from/to Lyon is provided with train tickets or private car transfer.
