Registered as a Hokkaido Heritage site, 'Ebetsu Bricks' once accounted for approximately 50% of Japan's total brick production at its peak.
They have been used in the restoration of the Former Hokkaido Government Office (Red Brick Office) and parts of the Hokkaido Ballpark F Village.
Since the factory is not in operation during winter, you can enjoy a special experience.
Not only will you tour one of Japan's leading brick factories, but you will also get to assemble a kiln using special bricks and grill local Ebetsu ingredients with your own hands.
Enjoy a moment to feel the 130-year history of brickmaking and the 'warmth' of winter in Hokkaido.

  • Please arrive directly at the factory at your reserved time. In addition to touring the brick-firing kilns, this is a rare opportunity to see a variety of bricks. The experience of assembling unique bricks and using them as a BBQ stove will be a precious memory you can only have here.

  • The tour may be canceled or its content changed in the event of force majeure (circumstances beyond the control of both the customer and the company). (1) Natural disasters: If we determine that safe operation is difficult due to storms, heavy snow, lightning, dense fog, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, etc. (2) Traffic restrictions/infrastructure failures: If it is difficult to arrive at the meeting point or conduct the tour due to road closures caused by bad weather, waiting for snow removal, suspension or delays of public transportation, or other government-imposed traffic restrictions. Proof of necessity: Cancellations due to force majeure will be determined based on our company records (Japan Meteorological Agency data, public transport suspension information, etc.), but we may request proof regarding your travel. No cancellation fees will be charged if the tour is canceled by our company due to force majeure.
