Maklumat produk

Table Mountain sits inside the Cape Floral Kingdom, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 9,000 plant species, more per square kilometre than almost anywhere on Earth. Most people walk past it without knowing what they're looking at.

This hike takes one of three routes, depending on your fitness and appetite for exposure. Platteklip Gorge is the direct, historic line to the summit the same route used by the first climbers up Table Mountain, and still the most direct way up. India Venster takes the technical line up the western face, with chains, ladders and short scrambles across exposed rock, and some of the best views on the mountain. Lion's Head is a separate, shorter peak next to Table Mountain, best known for sunrise or sunset and a 360-degree summit view over the city, the Atlantic, and Table Mountain itself.

Your guide grew up on this mountain and knows its Khoisan and Cape Malay history, the plant names, the old paths, why people came here long before it was a tourist attraction. You'll hear it as it comes up on the trail, not as a script.

Groups are capped at 10 people. The pace is set by whoever's slowest, not a timetable, and there's time to actually stop and look at things instead of moving through on a schedule.
