Maklumat produk

Begin your day with a pickup from your Cape Town accommodation and meet your private guide. Depart the city and travel east along the scenic N2 highway before joining the famous Whale Coast Route. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of mountains, vineyards, rolling countryside, and dramatic coastline as your guide shares fascinating insights into the region's history, culture, and wildlife.

Stop at Betty's Bay, home to the famous Stony Point Penguin Colony. Enjoy a leisurely walk along elevated wooden boardwalks that wind through one of the largest breeding colonies of African Penguins in South Africa. Observe these charming endangered birds in their natural habitat as they nest, swim, feed, and interact with one another. The colony also offers excellent opportunities to spot cormorants, dassies, and other coastal birdlife while enjoying spectacular views across False Bay.

Continue along the Whale Coast toward Hermanus. This picturesque seaside town is internationally renowned for land-based whale watching and offers magnificent views over Walker Bay. Upon arrival, enjoy free time to stroll through the harbor area, browse local shops, or relax along the cliff paths while awaiting the whale-watching departure.

The highlight of the day is the shared whale-watching boat excursion. Board a purpose-built vessel operated by experienced marine guides and head into the waters of Walker Bay in search of Southern Right Whales, Humpback Whales, and Bryde's Whales. Depending on the season, witness mothers and calves swimming together, playful breaches, tail slaps, spy-hopping, and other fascinating behaviors.

The boat trip typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours and offers exceptional opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing. In addition to whales, you may also encounter dolphins, Cape fur seals, African penguins, and a variety of seabirds. Professional marine guides provide informative commentary throughout the excursion, sharing knowledge about whale migration, conservation, and marine ecology.

After the whale-watching experience, begin the scenic return journey to Cape Town. The route once again follows the beautiful Whale Coast, offering numerous opportunities for photographs and breathtaking ocean views. Arrive back in Cape Town during the early evening, with drop-off at your hotel or accommodation.
