Experience the best of Kenya’s Tsavo region on an unforgettable 4-day safari from Mombasa or Diani. Travel through Tsavo East, Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and Tsavo West, discovering three different landscapes and enjoying exciting wildlife experiences along the way.
Begin your adventure in Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and most famous wildlife areas. Explore its vast red-earth plains on game drives and search for the park’s famous red elephants, as well as lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and other wildlife. Enjoy the changing colours of the African savannah as the sun sets before spending your first night in a comfortable safari lodge or camp.
Continue to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and experience the unique Salt Lick Safari Lodge, built on stilts overlooking a natural waterhole. After an afternoon game drive, relax at the lodge and watch wildlife come to drink below you. The combination of wildlife, scenic surroundings and the distinctive architecture makes Salt Lick one of the memorable highlights of this safari.
On Day 3, travel to Tsavo West National Park, where the landscape changes to volcanic hills, lava formations, greener scenery and natural springs. Enjoy an afternoon game drive through this spectacular part of Tsavo, searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and other wildlife.
Your final day begins with a morning game drive followed by a visit to the famous Mzima Springs. Walk along the designated trails and look for hippos, crocodiles, fish and birdlife around the crystal-clear springs. Afterwards, begin your journey back to Mombasa or Diani, arriving in the afternoon.
Travel throughout the safari in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof and an experienced English-speaking driver-guide. Your guide will help you spot wildlife and share knowledge about the parks, animals, landscapes and conservation.
