A large boat that friends and family can ride together. The 'Mirage iTrek Fiesta' released by HOBIE in 2022. Face the seats toward each other for a party on the lake, or stretch your legs and relax; enjoy the freedom of the lake in the great outdoors. Lake Saiko in Yamanashi Prefecture is designated as part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. ▼Notes - We have life jackets, but quantities are limited, so please bring your own if you have one. It is possible to ride without a life jacket, but please note that we cannot be held responsible in that case. - We recommend wearing clothes that are easy to move in and can get wet or dirty. - We recommend bringing a waterproof case if you use a mobile phone or camera on the lake. - The weather changes easily, so please bring rain gear. *Rental is available, but quantities are limited. - The rental may be canceled if we determine it is dangerous due to weather or lake water levels. - We will generally notify you of cancellations by the day before, but please note that it may be just before the start time due to sudden weather changes. - Please confirm that the following individuals cannot participate: - Those who have been drinking or have a hangover / Those who are pregnant or may be pregnant / Those with health conditions or feeling unwell / Those who do not agree to the terms / Those who do not follow guide instructions / Those deemed dangerous by staff. Mirage Drive, designed for maximum communication on the water
The pedal-powered 'Mirage Drive' is synonymous with HOBIE. Conventional kayaks were vehicles propelled by paddling, but the Mirage Drive allows you to utilize human leg strength, which is far stronger and more durable than arm strength, as efficient propulsion. Research into the impact on the natural world has been a major pillar of the improved Mirage Drive. Propeller-powered boats create bubbles when the propeller rotates under the water, which can frighten underwater creatures or damage nature by entangling seaweed. HOBIE studied the movement of penguin wings when swimming and incorporated movements that already exist in the natural world, so underwater creatures do not flee, and sometimes even treat the Hobie Kayak as a friend, allowing you to enjoy time underwater together.
