From Uvita, we will travel by vehicle for 1 hour to the town of Sierpe, in the interior of the Terraba-Sierpe National Wetland. A speedboat will be waiting for us at 5:30 AM to take us through the mangrove forest, gallery forest and other ecosystems, where we can see monkeys and crocodiles. We will cross the estuary, and part of the boat trip will be in the Pacific Ocean, where we can see dolphins, sea turtles and humpback whales in season, from July to February. The trip will take 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the Corcovado National Park, Sirena station, at an estimated time of 7:00 AM.
In the Park, we check in and hike different trails: Río Claro, El Cabro, Naranjos, Sirena, Guanacaste, Pavo, Espaveles. Species that can be seen include wild pigs, coatis, sloths, anteaters, spider monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, titi monkeys, crocodiles, snakes, tapirs, many birds, and many more species. At the end of the hike or during a break between hikes, we can enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Drop-off from Corcovado Park 1:00 pm
