Product Info

Discover El Chaltén, the National Capital of Trekking, on a private full-day excursion from El Calafate. Drive along the legendary Route 40, take in steppe landscapes, lakes, rivers, and mountains, and discover some of the most incredible vantage points in Patagonia.

During the tour, we'll make scenic stops at Lake Argentino, Estancia La Leona, Lake Viedma, and Mount Fitz Roy, while your local guide shares stories and interesting facts about the region.

Upon arrival in El Chaltén, you can choose between:

Relaxed option: Two short, self-guided hikes:
Mirador de los Cóndores: 3 km round trip, with views of Fitz Roy, the town, and the Río de las Vueltas.
Chorrillo del Salto: 800 m round trip through the forest to a 20-meter waterfall.

️ Adventure option: Replace both short hikes with the trail to Laguna Capri, an approximately 8-km round-trip hike, ideal for those seeking a more active experience and breathtaking views of Fitz Roy.

The trails are self-guided and do not include a mountain guide. Your local guide will accompany you throughout the tour, at the stops and at the vantage points, sharing information about the nature, culture, and history of Patagonia.

Travel in comfort in a modern private vehicle with Wi-Fi, enjoying a full day to discover El Chaltén at your leisure.

At the end of the tour, we'll head back to El Calafate and drop you off at your accommodation.
