MALBA Guided Tour with Local Artist｜Argentina

Meet your guide, Tamara, a local artist and begin an in-depth guided tour of the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA).
Over the course of two hours, we will embark on a journey through the most important works of Latin American art, exploring the ideas, identities, and historical forces that shaped the region’s artistic production.
Together, we will discover MALBA’s remarkable permanent collection, including iconic pieces by Frida Kahlo and other major figures of Latin American and Argentine art. Through carefully selected key works, you will gain a deeper understanding of the political, social, and cultural contexts that define the essence of Latin American modern and contemporary art.
Having a local artist as your guide offers a unique perspective, not only historical insight, but also a closer reading of materials, techniques, and artistic intentions.
We will also explore the museum’s temporary exhibitions, connecting past and present dialogues within the Latin American art scene. At a relaxed pace, there will be time to enjoy a coffee at the museum café and browse the museum store for books and unique design objects.
This is more than a museum visit, it is an immersive experience and a thoughtful journey through Latin American art, guided by an artist who lives and works within the local cultural scene.
