Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel or the airport in Kigali. Drive to the Northern Province, passing through Rwanda’s stunning landscapes. Understand why Rwanda is known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills" as you journey through its rolling terrain.

Upon arrival at the park office in Kinigi, receive a briefing about the Musanze Caves. These geological marvels were formed about 65 million years ago due to volcanic activities. The caves stretch for about 2 kilometers and house thousands of bats. As you navigate the cold, quiet tunnels, encounter streams of water trickling from the rock ceiling.

Historically, these caves served as a refuge during the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Today, they offer a unique exploration experience, combining natural beauty with historical significance. Discover the hidden depths of Rwanda’s heritage with the Musanze Cave tour.

After your cave experience, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Musanze. Then, proceed to the Gorilla Guardian Village to learn about Rwandan culture and history. The Iby’iwacu Cultural tour showcases Rwanda’s cultural diversity through experiences like traditional grain grinding, learning Rwanda’s history, and enjoying cultural drumming and dancing. See banana beer making and a traditional wedding ceremony, presented by local community members.

Finally, return to Kigali, taking in the scenic views along the way.
