Product Info

Day 1: Beijing to Hohhot

Begin your adventure by taking a high-speed train from Beijing to Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the evening at your leisure, exploring the city or relaxing in preparation for the days ahead.

Day 2: Hohhot to Xilamuren Grassland

Start your day with a visit to the Inner Mongolia Museum, where you can learn about the region's rich history and culture. Then, head to the Xilamuren Grassland, the closest grassland to Hohhot, known for its traditional Mongolian yurts and stunning natural scenery.

After arriving at the grassland, you’ll be warmly welcomed by local Mongolians in colorful clothing. They’ll present you with a silver cup of wine. The trip leader will then arrange your yurt and allow time for a break. Next, you’ll go to the stud farm to select a horse for approximately 40 minutes of horseback riding. Enjoy the beautiful grassland scenery. In the evening, enjoy a Mongolia Palace Feast Meal, where you’ll be dressed in traditional clothing and served incredible cuisine while watching various Mongolian performances. Spend the night in a traditional Mongolian yurt and experience the nomadic lifestyle firsthand. Take part in a bonfire party and enjoy traditional dancing and local songs performed by local Mongolians.

Day 3: Xilamuren Grassland to Yinken Tala Desert to Beijing

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the grasslands before heading to the Yinken Tala Desert. Here, you can take in the incredible desert landscape as you trek through the Kubuqi Desert on a camel ride. Enjoy the whispering sand dunes as you enjoy your adventure.

Take part in various sand activities, including sand exploration, glider flying, motor racing, and more. After a day of adventure, return to Hohhot and take the high-speed train back to Beijing, arriving in the evening.

**Important Itinerary Note – Monday Museum Closure**

The Inner Mongolia Museum is closed on Mondays. If Day 2 of your tour falls on a Monday, the itinerary will be adjusted to ensure you can still visit all the included attractions and enjoy the full experience.

In this case, the order of the itinerary will be changed: you will visit Kubuqi Desert (Yinken Desert) first, then travel to Xilamuren Grassland for your Mongolian yurt stay and traditional Mongolian feast. The following morning, you will enjoy horse riding before visiting the Inner Mongolia Museum when it reopens.

The itinerary order may therefore vary depending on the museum’s opening days, weather, and local conditions, but all included activities and attractions will be retained whenever possible.
