  3. You will perform about 70% of the creation process yourself, with a glass artisan with over 40 years of experience carefully supporting the finishing touches.
  4. The finished glass can be picked up about 2 days later after cooling and finishing, so you can receive it during your stay in Japan (shipping to your hotel is possible, and international shipping is also supported) and take it home with you.
  5. During the production, you can enjoy local stories about life in Seto and folklore through interactions with the artisan.

Product Info

Glass craft has been thriving in the Seto region since the 1870s. Seto is Japan's largest production area for glass raw materials. Why not try a private glass-blowing experience under the guidance of a skilled glass artisan with over 45 years of experience?

In the glass-blowing experience, you will first choose the shape, color, and pattern of the glass. Next, under the guidance of a skilled artisan, you will create your own original glass piece.

You will be responsible for about 70% of the production process. The artisan will ensure safety and quality. You can also take photos and videos of the creation process.

After the experience, the glass will be cooled and finished. You can either return the next day to pick it up or have it shipped to your accommodation in Japan. (Additional shipping fees apply. International shipping is also available.)

During the production process, you can enjoy conversations with the artisan and learn about the life and stories of Seto.

Available for ages 5 and up. The price is the same as for adults.

  • 1. Meeting & Reception Please arrive at the workshop location 5 minutes before your scheduled time. 2. Experience Explanation We will explain the production process and safety precautions. 3. Experience Content While keeping the precautions in mind, you will create your piece according to your own vision. 4. Dismissal The production time is approximately 20 minutes. After the experience, why not take a stroll through the town of Seto? *The flow above is an estimate. Please note that the schedule may change depending on the situation on the day.

How to Get There
Access by train: From Sakaemachi Station on the Meitetsu Seto Line, located in Higashi-Sakura 1-chome, Higashi-ku, Nagoya City, it takes approximately 40 minutes to the final stop, Owari-Seto Station. You can use any train, including express, semi-express, and local trains. The glass workshop is approximately a 5-minute walk from Owari-Seto Station.
