Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta day tour from Ho Chi Minh City

Start your morning with a drive from Saigon to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where you’ll watch a short documentary explaining how this incredible underground network was built and used by Viet Cong soldiers. You’ll then have the unique opportunity to crawl through the narrow handmade tunnels and experience a taste of wartime life with boiled tapioca and pandan tea.

In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Mekong Delta for a scenic boat trip along the river, taking in the views of the riverbanks and the four famous islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix. You’ll stop at Unicorn Island to visit a bee farm and sample honey tea, and then explore a coconut candy workshop in Ben Tre province, where you can taste freshly made candies. You’ll continue by electric car through peaceful countryside roads and visit a tropical orchard, where you can enjoy seasonal fruits while listening to traditional Southern Vietnamese music, known as Đờn ca tài tử.
