Visit the Whitney Plantation, a site of memory and consciousness meant to pay homage to all people on the plantation itself, and to all of those who lived elsewhere in the United States. On this half-day tour, you’ll see museum exhibits, memorial artwork, and restored buildings. You'll also take an audio tour of the 272-year-old plantation site with a focus on first-person narratives.

  • Meeting point description: Please meet at the Lighthouse Ticket Office at 400 Toulouse St. and the Mississippi River, behind the JAX Brewery. Please be at the meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour.(400 Toulouse Street, New Orleans, LA 70130, USA)

  • Accessibility:This bus tour has a good amount of walking at the Plantation house, and you must be able to climb and descend stairs

  • Not allowed: Videos are not allowed inside the plantation home

  • Coolers or meals are not allowed

  • Know in advance: Whitney Plantation is a self-guided tour. Please make sure to download the Whitney Plantation app before your visit

  • Infant rates apply provided they do not occupy a seat

  • Snacks are available at the plantations and guests are welcome to bring light food/snacks for the trip
