  • This is a tea mat weaving experience at Genta Dyeing and Weaving Studio. Simply choose your favorite colored thread and weave away! Children, seniors, and first-time weavers are all welcome♪ Foreign visitors also enjoy weaving with hand gestures and body language. We've also received feedback that the finished product makes a "pretty good" mouse pad. As it's an indoor activity, you don't have to worry about the weather. You can experience it in the charming studio located inside the Aya International Craft Castle. Our staff, who have been weaving for nearly 50 years, will teach you carefully. ~Flow of the day~ ①Choose your thread Choose your favorite color from the threads provided. ②Staff explanation Our staff will explain the weaving method while demonstrating. ③Weaving experience Weave freely. Some people can finish in about 15 minutes. ④Finishing Our staff will finish the fringe, and you're done. Take it home and enjoy!
  • Weaving one-of-a-kind tea mats
  • Simply choose two weft threads in your favorite colors and begin weaving. The way you weave the threads will create a variety of patterns. How you weave is entirely up to you. Just weave mindlessly, and you'll have a lovely tea mat. Once you've finished weaving, our staff will add the fringe, and you'll receive it right there.

Regarding the cancellation of the event:

  • An entrance fee is required to enter "Aya International Craft Castle," but it is refunded to those who participate in the activities. Only 4 people can participate at a time, but if there is a waiting list, up to 8 people can be accommodated.
