Kawataya offers delicious Japanese cuisine and simple, natural scenery.
Our meat selection focuses on Satsuma Chiran chicken from Kagoshima Prefecture, Yamato Nikudori chicken from Nara Prefecture, Kagoshima Kurobuta pork, and Kagoshima Wagyu beef. For vegetables, we have been receiving fresh, farm-to-table salad greens directly from Tsuji Farm in Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture for many years. We use only the finest ingredients carefully selected by our producers. Our drink menu includes 13 varieties of shochu across 6 types, 8 local sakes from 4 prefectures, as well as monthly rotating premium sake and a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages. The restaurant is situated on a hill, offering a scenic view of the Kongo mountain range.
Chicken rice, a local dish of Amami Oshima, is a dish of shredded chicken, shredded egg, and other ingredients and condiments placed on rice, then poured with soup made from boiling a whole chicken. Our charcoal-grilled chicken rice is made by cooking charcoal-grilled chicken together with rice, then pouring our special rich chicken soup over it. The harmony of the flavor and texture of the charcoal-grilled chicken, the flavor-infused rice, and the rich, odorless chicken soup is truly exquisite. Please give it a try.
Kawadaya offers a variety of Japanese lunch options. Our chicken hamburger steak is a speciality loved by locals and is a delicious treat. We also offer small courses and bento box menus that allow you to enjoy a variety of flavors in small portions. Please be sure to try our homemade chicken dishes and hand-made soba noodles.
We offer a wide variety of alcoholic beverages that go perfectly with Japanese cuisine. We have sake, shochu, and even wine. Franciacorta is especially recommended by the owner as a perfect match for Japanese cuisine.
The secret to our popularity is our extensive private rooms. We have a variety of rooms available, from large tatami rooms that can accommodate up to 50 people to private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables that can comfortably accommodate even two people. Above all, our most popular seats are the table seats with a panoramic view. Enjoy delicious food while taking in the beautiful natural scenery that changes with the seasons. We also have separate smoking and non-smoking areas, so please feel free to ask.

- Cancellation policy: The cancellation policy for this product is divided into KKday's reservation fee cancellation policy and the restaurant's cancellation policy.
Based on the cancellation date, there will be different cancellation charges for KKday's reservation fee (440 JPY per guest).

Japanese restaurants strictly adhere to the reservation time system. If you are late, it will be considered as a voluntary cancellation of the reservation. Latecomers cannot request changes, cancellations, or refunds for this reason.
The Promotional photos are for reference only. If the actual dishes served is different than the reference, please reflect that to the restaurant, who will be responsible for this matter fully.
Dining time is limited. If you're late and therefore shorten the dining time, the dining time cannot be extended.
