  • Enjoy an elegant moment surrounded by flowers. Even first-time flower arranging participants are welcome. Anyone who loves or is interested in flowers is welcome, and you can take home the finished arrangement on the day. Flower arranging is a field of floral design that was introduced to Japan in the early Meiji period as lifestyles changed. In a broad sense, it refers to floral arrangements excluding corsages and bouquets. Most arrangements are made in absorbent foam or displayed in a container. Unlike ikebana, they are not limited in location or form, and have come to be used for a variety of purposes, including interior décor and gifts. Furthermore, in Japan, where four distinct seasons exist, the tradition of enjoying seasonal flowers has long been a staple. In modern times, opportunities to experience the seasons in everyday life have become fewer and more simplified, but flowers allow us to enjoy the richness of the seasons even more. Certification from the NFD (Japan Flower Designers Association) is available.
