Discover a winter wonderland where the aurora shines brightest from September to April, and enjoy a 2 hour city tour along the Yukon River featuring landmarks such as the SS Klondike and the historic train station. Spend two nights in a cozy heated cabin with hot drinks and snacks while waiting for the dazzling aurora borealis to appear. You can also explore downtown Whitehorse or join optional experiences like visiting the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and relaxing at Takhini Hot Springs for a deeper connection with the region’s natural beauty.

Yukon Wildlife Preserve & Takhini Hot Pools

  • If you wish to join this tour, please place a separate order. The first order is for the selection of room type and traveler number. The second order is for the number of travelers for the optional tour 
  • For safety reasons, only travelers aged over 19 are eligible
  • This tour is only available from October 5 to March 31

* The actual operating hour is subject to change due to weather. If the attraction is closed, a full refund will be provided.

  • Duration: 4 to 5 hrs 
  • Itinerary (for reference only): Depart from Whitehorse and take a 30-km ride to Yukon Wildlife Preserve. The tour guide will guide the travelers to see animals at close range (bighorn sheep, wild white goat, reindeer, American bison, muskox, moose, and more). Then, travelers will head to Takhini Hot Pools to enjoy arctic bathing

  • If the name, gender, date of birth, and passport information provided by the customer when placing the order are incorrect and require modification after ticket issuance, a ticket modification fee of 25 CAD per person per instance will be charged from the airline. Please provide accurate and complete information to avoid the extra fee

  • The attraction visiting time is subject to change, depending on weather conditions
  • In the event of attraction cancellation due to adverse traffic/weather conditions or force majeure, the tour guide will arrange alternative attractions without prior notice
  • The sighting of northern lights is not guaranteed. Refunds will not be offered to travelers who did not see northern lights due to adverse weather conditions

Reminders

  • A minimum of 1 traveler(s) are required for the tour to depart. If the number of participants does not reach the minimum requirement, the tour will be canceled. An email regarding tour cancellation will be sent 1 day(s) before the departure date

  • Travelers with the following conditions or other health issues that could be worsened by excessive stimulation should not participate in this activity: Asthma, Epilepsy, Pregnant women

  • In the event of a change in itinerary or cancellation due to traffic, weather, or any other unforeseen circumstances, travelers will be informed 1 day(s) (at 6:00 pm local time) prior to departure. If there is an emergency, the arrangements will be made depending on airlines ground staff

  • If your flight is cancelled due to force majeure or other unforeseen weather conditions, the activities or any items that are already reserved will not be refunded. Please make sure you have travel insurance on your own before traveling (under such a circumstance, we will try our best to arrange another available flight on the same day)

  • Please pay attention to the time of your flight. This tour cannot be changed or canceled if you miss your flight

  • Please refer to your voucher for the actual meeting time and location. Meeting information is subject to change due to emergencies or other situations. Please keep an eye out for relevant information and refer to the latest meeting time and location

  • Refunds or compensation will not be granted to travelers who leave the tour halfway through or miss the entire tour due to personal reasons (e.g. lack of travel documents, late arrival, sickness, accidents)

  • Please bring warm outerwear with you (coat, gloves, beanie and boots)

  • We reserve the right to change the itinerary or tour price due to any other unforeseen circumstances without consulting the participants

  • Should injury or death occur due to any unforeseeable circumstances, the case will be settled in accordance with the criteria stipulated by the policy conditions of the related organization such as airline company, hotel, bus and train company. However, the company and its employees shall not be held responsible for any accidents

  • Please prepare a valid visa and passport with validity of more than six months

  • Travelers will view the northern lights at the same campsite every night. The campsite is spacious and travelers may walk freely

  • Tour guide will be waiting at designated meeting point and time and holding a nameplate

  • If your group includes members with reduced mobility, please notify us when booking so we can best accommodate you
