In 2018, the famous fish market auction of Tokyo moved from Tsukiji to Toyosu, but the original is still brimming with history, culture and fish for visitors to experience. Learn about one of Japan’s most iconic foods, sushi, from one of Japan’s most iconic sources of fresh fish. This 4-hour tour of the market area will teach you everything you could ever want to know about sushi. From the sea to the market to the chef to your mouth, learn the whole process of sushi making with 100s of years of history. Then, after learning the history, become a part of it by making your own sushi from a professional chef. Of course, you get to eat your creation, too.

  • The tour strictly starts on time. Please be respectful of the other guests. If guests do not arrive at the meeting point by departure, the tour will begin regardless.
  • This activity is able to accommodate the following dietary requirements: Gluten-free, Vegan, Vegetarian and Pescetarian. Please inform us in advance of your dietary restrictions.
  • Minimum drinking age is 20 years and above in Japan. Alternative drinks will be served to participants below 20 years of age.
  • Please be reminded to wear comfortable shoes because there will be a lot of walking. Sandals are prohibited as you can’t enter the market wearing them.
  • Depending on the date, this tour might not finish at Tsukiji. The tour might finish somewhere in Shinjuku. (depending on the sushi workshop)
  • Please note that this is a casual, family-friendly sushi-making workshop intended for beginners.

How to Get There
The meeting point is in front of the gate of Tsukiji Honganji Temple, please arrive a few minutes before the starting time.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 4 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–3 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
