- About Kochi Castle Museum of History -
The Kochi Castle Museum of History is the museum located in front of Kochi Castle (also called Johaku: Jo=castlce, Haku=museum).
You can learn about the history and culture of the Tosa domain through genuine display of historical documents and daimyo tools, including national treasures and important cultural properties handed down to the Yamauchi family of the Tosa domain.
Beautiful Kochi Castle can be seen from the observatory lobby.

At the Kochi Castle Museum of History, which stands in front of Kochi Castle, you can see valuable cultural properties handed down by the Yamauchi family, the lords of the Tosa domain.
Various exhibitions are held in the special exhibition room throughout the year.
From the observatory lobby, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful Kochi Castle and Otemon Gate, as well as the bronze statue of Kazutoyo Yamauchi.
